Sketches
Inspiration came from plants and organic shapes. I took ideas from tree leaves, flowers, and just plants in my home. I wanted to play around with the idea of layering multiple of the same colored lamps to be more of a statement piece. There are a lot of opportunities to do many different designs.
Process + Exploration
Working with different natural dyes, such as turmeric, beet, green + blue spirulina algae, blackberry, blueberry, spinach, red cabbage, beet, and tea leaves for texture.

Working with wire to create organic shapes - using glue to bond and also bonding with agar agar.
Test lamps
Trying to understand how to secure the wire in the cylinder in the center - used wire and PVC pipe to make mock-up mini lamps.
